StraightOut Media announced that The Peaks Resort & Spa in the Town of Mountain Village Colorado will be the Official Host Hotel for the February 25 – March 3, 2012 event named “T-12”. The first time the ski week has designated a single location as its main lodging partner and primary event venue. The Peaks will now host all daily Apre’ Ski events and late night lounge parties in addition to the White Night Party, which has become the week’s most popular event attracting attendees as well as scores of local residents. The Peaks offers an assortment of the amenities; including a full-service spa, indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, three unique on-site restaurants, and a T-12 Hospitality Concierge Center.
Also, for the first time, this top Gay Ski Week will be offering exclusive packages for lodging available only through its official website (telluridegayskiweek.com) or by calling toll free to 888-376-9770. This includes pricing for lodging at The Peaks, including lift tickets, rentals, and VIP party pass for the week called the “T-Pass” as well as additional discounts. In addition, exclusive packages at other Telluride lodges and condos will be available by request. Room rates offered at The Peaks start as low $169 (room only, double occupancy) and package rates start at $250 per person, per night. Packages include room accommodations, lift tickets, rentals and T-Pass, which provides access to the T-12 official parties.

The popular annual event, now entering its 9th year, is now the third busiest winter week in Telluride following Christmas and Presidents Day Weekend.
What’s new in 2012? Guests to ski week can look forward to a mix of skiing, parties, celebrities and DJs. For 2012, in addition to its nightly events, TGSW will host an inaugural “Wig Run”. The Wig Run will invite all skiers, both local and ski week attendees, to wear their own hair creation on the mountain for the day and be eligible for prizes. The run will culminate with an end-of-day final run to the base of the slopes lead by returning emcee and drag queen Nuclia Waste. Proceeds of the run will directly benefit the Telluride AIDS Benefit, which is the ski weeks annual beneficiary.
