You have by now maybe seen the headlines that Madonna called out at her fans for her being late to a show. While any of her real fans know that she is normally late to her shows or comes on around 9pm she did not come on until 10pm for this show due to technical problems. Although the headlines read that “Madonna calls angry fans ‘diva bitches’ after crowd booed. They would then go on to say that the crowd booed and they turned up the music to Michael Jackson to drown out the booing noise. That is also untrue. They always turn up the music during Michael Jackson “Gonna Be Starting Something” in each city the tour takes place because that is when they switch over to the louder speakers and move the sound to the main system to begin the concert.
The problem in cities such as Manchester is that the trains do not run late and they are not open to extending the hours of the trains. They really need to rethink how they host big events such as a Madonna Tour when they close down a train at 11pm due to a stupid curfew. That seems like Russia if you ask me and not people friendly. Curfews are for kids not concert paying adults that want to go out for a fun night after working a hard week.
One Facebook person had a great post especially about the assault from the security at this show in Manchester “Seeing all these posts on how the Manchester arena treated concert goers sickens me. Assaulting people who paid money for tickets. Empty space near the stage because security would not let fans get close even after calls for people to move closer. A curfew at 11pm? Really? Even Prague arranges so that the trains run late. People should rebel against the Mayor of Manchester.”
Some are even comparing Manchester to Russia because of the way guests were assaulted and the curfew complaints.
“This will not fly with the Diva !!! She is a perfectionist, a professional and considering all the work she puts out to give us her all, this was not good. She deserves a big apology ! Regardless of the problem she gave her show . Bravo Madonna”
I went to the concert last night yes i was upset that i didn’t get the full show but hey thats life…enjoyed the show hopefully Birmingham will go smoothly – Enjoy the speech
Madonna took to Instagram to post the following in response to the controversy of the Rebel Heart Tour in Manchester, England:
“FACTS: it’s good to have them before you jump to conclusions! The Entire video for my show crashed as I arrived for sound check. The back up file was corrupt. We had no choice but to reboot and pray for a good outcome. The video lights 75 % of my show. We cant play in the dark. We were rebooted and ready by 9:30 even though we planned to go ion earlier. I had to make cuts in show before show started. Dress you Up was one of them and my 3rd guitar song. This still brought us past the 11:00 curfew! But we went on and the venue was kind enough to extend till 111:39!! It was there choice not mine to end the show!! always want to finish. So we all missed the last 3 songs! And I’m sorry about that. And i thank all my Rebel Heart fans for understanding! We did our best! And we still had to pay a fine! That life. ?. PS you still got to see an amazing show. And only missed. 12 minutes!! The ??#rebelhearttour goes on”
Nun Assaulted at Manchester Arena
“Absolutely shocked by how Manchester Arena treated this visitor who went to see Madonna she was doing her performance and was interacting with the crowd she wanted to touch hands with a fan dressed as a nun and the security guards pushed him back which is Assault madonnas face was outraged I feel for this fan who wanted to touch her hand and was stopped by security even though Madonna told them to let him. This needs to get the attention of Manchester arena for spoiling our whole experience. Madonna still rocked and I feel for her even though it was not her fault.” Commented from a fan of the Rebel Heart Tour 2015 on Facebook.
