If you were watching LOGO Monday night you may have caught his premier performance of the song. Adam Lambert is set to release his new single “Never Close Our Eyes” off his highly anticipated new album, Trespassing. Trespassing is set to debut May 15th. The track, which was written and produced by Bruno Mars and Dr. Luke, will be available April 17 via iTunes as an instant grat for anyone who pre-orders the deluxe version of TRESPASSING.
We were in shock that Jeffrey Sanker did not have Adam Lambert perform at the White Party Palm Springs 2012. Lambert was in town filming for the NextNowNew or NewNowNext (can anyone ever remember that?) awards on LOGO. All of the other artists performed at the White Party Palm Springs with an exception of Lambert. We have been pressing for him to appear at this music festival because we know he would be loved there and he can do more of a dance music set for us. Maybe they are scared of the GLAMberts that might show up?
TRESPASSING, due out on RCA Records/19 Recordings on May 15, will be available in a 12 track standard edition as well as a deluxe edition with 3 additional bonus tracks. In addition to co-writing many of the tracks, Lambert collaborated with an all star list of award winning artists, producers and songwriters including Pharrell Williams, Claude Kelly, Benny Blanco, Bonnie McKee, Nile Rogers, Sam Sparro and the aforementioned Dr. Luke and Bruno Mars.
Since the release of Lambert’s debut album For Your Entertainment in 2009 it has sold nearly 2 million copies worldwide. Lambert was nominated for a Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for “Whataya Want From Me” in 2010 and also released the Glam Nation Live CD/DVD and Acoustic Live! EPs. He is first American Idol to ever tour the world in support of their debut album in the year following their IDOL season. In November of this year, Adam took to the stage in the finale of the MTV European Music Awards to sing lead vocals with Queen, who were being honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Their captivating performance is widely regarded to be the highlight of the entire EMA ceremony and an indication of the outstanding years ahead in the career of Adam Lambert.
