One of the hottest attractions of the Gay Disney or some call it “Gay Days” Orlando is the afterhours circuit events. The Tunnel has been mostly a disappointment while it has been held at Buena Vista Palace the last two years as an afterhours people wanted the huge party we once saw with thousands of shirtless men inside one huge football size field. Only because we are size queens of course. The Tunnel afterhours did provide a safer way to get back to our hotel rooms from the party but it had nothing close to the sounds, lights, and huge crowds that the One Mighty Party’s Arabian Nights parties had.
Johnny Chisolm seems to be making this comback bringing back One Mighty Weekend to the Disney area after his failed attempt a few years ago when Mark Baker took over the events. The Magic Journey will be held at Arabian Nights starting Friday May 31st with Peter Rauhofoer (a DJ known to show up in Miami and Orlando in competition with the other main act). Brazilian DJ Gustavo Scorpio tears up the stadium June 1st along with DJ Joe Gauthrauaux from NYC. The closing party is no other than the “closers” of every big circuit event… Rosabel. This DJ Pair will play Sunday June 2nd. Which is technically Monday June 3rd at around 3am is when this will get hot.
DJ Abel had to cancel his gig with Tunnel (Mark Baker) to do this event and said he was doing it for the good of the community. It will be interesting to see if the Tunnel afterhours closes down due to lack of interest or if it an even bigger blow and both of them end up with less circuit boys due to both events going on at the same time. There are so many events going on during gay days week that you might think this would happen more often and it does but we can assure you that everything will probably be worth going to in the end. Who knows you might just party at the SeaWorld DoubleTree pool party all day (the Official Gay Days hotel) and never make it out to either afterhours and save some money. Their party goes on until 3 or 4am anyway.
